To my surprise and delight I found, while skimming through the pages of the current Romantic Country Magazine, my dress forms. I remarked wow how pretty and then realized they were mine lol, well at least I like my own work, lol.

Holiday 2011

It's was time to decorate my new house in Florida for the holidays and figured nothing to it , boy was I wrong. We took all the boxes out and put the holiday music on then nothing. I was blank so not to let anyone down I found the best spot for the tree to go and started there. I am pretty happy how things turned out but I find myself tweaking things moving things but all in all its looking pretty good. I will post a few pictures to show you please let me know what you think.

Swap with Oh La La Treasures

Well, I finally got myself involved with some very talented women from Youtube , which has been nothing short of the most magnificent  learning experience. I decided to involve myself with one of the groups  and participate in a swap. This being my first swap I was very intimidated and nervous and not sure if I was going to be able to pair up with these women, none the less, I went for it. Oh LaLa Vintage Treasures is right up my alley being shabby, yet vintage and not just limited to anyone medium. The swap was to make a jean pocket out of paper and also in insert. After working fairly hard on it I shipped it out along with many other goodies to my partner Doreen, who happens to be one of the partners of Ohlala Vintage Treasures.
When Doreen recieved mine she posted up a video of it , and when I found this out I thought I was going to be sick, I didn't know how it would look when she did it, but knowing Doreen she wouldn't make me look back, the video was really good and I was so relieved. Doreen, actually did a video on my pocket that she made for me and I couldn't wait so I peeked at it and was thrilled and couldn't wait to see it.

After waiting for about two week Doreen and I assumed it was lost. I was so upset , not only for myself but for all the work Doreen put into making it and the goodies she sent along with it. So Doreen and I had some discussions and she was so willing to make me another one and I didn't want her to have to go to all that trouble , I told her to send me something she already had made
Doreen informed me that she had sent me out a box and it luckily came within 2 days.  OMG, it was so scrumptious and gorgeous, I wanted to eat it. No Kidding!

Stocking Swap/More Paper than Shoes

I took part in a swap with More Paper Than Shoes, and we had to make stockings , they measured approx.8" by 4" . I made my shabby chic style, like all my work. I love the way they came out. I think I am going to make smaller version an make ornaments for one of my trees.
